10 American-Korean Collaboration Tracks That Prove Music Has No Borders

K-Pop is taking the world by storm and with K-Pop gaining popularity internationally, more and more collaborations are taking place. Here are some of the most recent K-Pop and US Artist collaborations.

K-Pop’s increasing popularity around the world has more and more fans screaming for more of their favorite idols. Even North American artists are starting to take note of the Hallyu Wave and desire to collaborate with or even become a K-Pop star. Some American artists have already begun to collaborate with K-Pop stars and the results are amazing.

We’ve compiled a list of 10 recent K-Pop and US artist collaborations for you to check out:

1. Far East Movement x Marshmello – Freal Luv ft. Chanyeol and Tinashe

Its trap influenced twerk beat, solid basslines, and strong raps are here to stay. Featuring both English and Korean lyrics, Freal Luv has something for all audiences.

2. Gallant x Tablo x Eric Nam – Cave Me In

The collaborative retro slow jam sound of “Cave Me In”, brings Gallant’s piercing falsetto together with the striking rap of Epik High’s Tablo, and sweet crooner Eric Nam in this new hit.

3. Diplo x CL x RiFF RAFF x OG Maco – Doctor Pepper

Diplo teamed up with South Korean superstar CL, RiFF RAFF, and OG Maco for the music video Doctor Pepper. CL lays down a flawless hook you’ll find stuck in your head almost immediately.

4. Far East Movement – Don’t Speak ft. Tiffany x King Chain

Titled “Don’t Speak”, this glitch-inspired dance-pop track features a collaboration between Far East Movement, K-pop star Tiffany, and producer King Chain.

5. Ricky Martin – Vente Pa’ Ca (Audio) ft. Wendy of Red Velvet

Ricky Martin’s crooning latin voice combined with Wendy’s incredible vocals make for one impressive collab track. You won’t be able to stop listening to Vente Pa’ Ca.

6. Timbaland and Eric Nam(에릭남)_Body

Eric is a huge fan of Timbaland (who has worked with many famous celebrities including Madonna and Justin Timberlake), so this track was a dream come true. Check out the collaboration between Timberland and Eric Nam, which resulted in the catchy and pop radio bop called “Body“.

7. Far East Movement – Umbrella ft. Hyolyn ( 우산 ) and Gill Chang

Titled “Umbrella” by Far East Movement, this collaboration featured SISTAR‘s Hyolyn and producer Gill Chang. Using the lower spectrum of her vocals, Hyolyn’s singing will simply take your breath away in this gorgeous track.

8. Baauer – Temple ft. M.I.A. + G-DRAGON

Empowering and transnational, “Temple” explores what music can be like when geographical boundaries are overcome and conventions are broken. This great collaboration brings the full fierceness and power by the two rappers.

9. KOLAJ x Eric Nam – “Into You”

“Into You” is a single recorded by Korean-American Eric Nam and Dance-pop duo Kolaj.The collaboration between the two artists resulted in the creation of a track full of catchy vibes and infectious saxophone beats.

10. TAEMIN 태민_Press Your Number

Taemin confirms that Bruno Mars is one of his favorite artists, and the two even knew each other prior to Taemin’s debut. “Press Your Number”, produced by Bruno Mars and team Stereotypes, is an urban pop dance song and it is about a man expressing his heavy heart while waiting for his loved one.
