10 K-Pop Idols Who Have Thrown Shade At SM Entertainment
While SM Entertainment might be one of the biggest K-Pop companies, that doesn’t mean that their artists get the greatest treatment in the world. There have been several idols from SM Entertainment who have thrown shade at the company. Here’s a list of just a few of them.
1. Suho (EXO)
During an episode of Radio Star, Suho decided to publicly voice some of his frustrations with SM Entertainment.
One of the biggest issues Suho had was that SM Entertainment was seemingly giving EXO the bare minimum when it came to promotions. During their earlier days, the company would put a lot of effort into their music videos.
Nowadays, SM Entertainment is going more minimalistic.
Suho also felt a little disappointed that the company stopped giving him a suite room for hotels.
2. Heechul (Super Junior)
Heechul is quite the savage and has never been afraid to speak his mind. He once called out SM Entertainment for the quality of their products.
3. Taeyeon (Girls’ Generation)
During a concert, a fan told Taeyeon that she had received a defective album.
Taeyeon apologized to the fan and even signed her album as a way of saying sorry.
Taeyeon was quite upset by the defective album and called out SM Entertainment for it.
4. Taeyong (NCT)
During a live broadcast, Taeyong decided to call out his manager for telling him to stop talking and to turn off the broadcast.
5. Seohyun (Girls’ Generation)
The members of Girls’ Generation once revealed that SM Entertainment is quite strict when it comes to their artists writing their music.
Seohyun said that she even submitted 6 songs to the company, but they all got rejected, which hurt her a little.
6. Baekhyun (EXO)
Baekhyun is someone who always speaks his mind, and that was the case when he called out his manager for telling him to stop talking with his fans.
Who remember when EXO doing VLIVE and EXO manager telling the members to end it bcs they need to practice and Baekhyun said "our managers are telling us to turn it off. Please attack them on INSTAGRAM." bcs he still want to talk with EXO-L. pic.twitter.com/XpL40YRKAd

Before she departed from SM Entertainment, Amber once left a heartbreaking post about being mistreated and neglected by the company.

I've given my everything. I tried to work things out. Whether it be the creative or business, I’ve been doing everything myself for years so I can keep myself afloat. But in the end, I’m continuously neglected, hurt, and taken advantage of. I’ve been patient… the fans have been extremely patient and I can’t take it anymore just sitting around, waiting, being constantly rejected and given false hope. I’m so tired mentally and physically and this is where I draw the line. No more.
8. Sooyoung (Girls’ Generation)
Sooyoung once called out SM Entertainment for the number of lines she’s given.
Before he departed from the company, Henry shared a few posts that expressed his disappointments with SM Entertainment.
It’s tiring. I’m exhausted. I can’t do it alone any longer. It’s been a mistake since 9 years ago. It’s become so big I can’t support it anymore. What do I do now?”
I……I only have my fans now. If you see this message please speak on my behalf, the company won’t listen to me.
10. Jessica Jung (Former member of Girls’ Generation)
When Jessica “left” Girls’ Generation, it shocked many as the news came out of nowhere. However, Jessica also shocked everyone when she revealed that she was kicked out of the group by the company.
I was excited about our upcoming fan events only to shockingly be informed by my company and 8 others that as of today, I’m no longer a member. I’m devastated – my priority and love is to serve as a member of GG, but for no justifiable reason, I am being forced out..
