The two fall in love, the kind of love that even death cannot part. Windfall is considered an unofficial prequel to My Sassy Girl since it features the same lead actress and setting as My Sassy Girl and is loosely connected to its plot.


5. More Than Blue (2009) 

The Korean title for this movie literally translates to “A Sad Story Than Sadness”, which is fitting because it’s one of the saddest, most beautiful love stories ever told in Korean film. The main character, K, falls in love with a girl, Cream, but keeps his love a secret since he is dying from cancer. Before he dies, he decides to try to find Cream’s soulmate for her, so that she will not be alone.
