September 2025 is shaping up to be another strong month for K-Drama premieres this year! From psychological thrillers to nostalgic coming-of-age stories, here are some of the shows that deserve a spot on your watchlist next month.

1. “Queen Mantis”

Go Hyun Jung takes on the chilling role of Jung Yi Shin, a notorious serial killer known as “The Mantis,” in this psychological thriller premiering on September 5. A Korean remake of the French series La Mante, this SBS drama promises the morally complex storytelling fans love in a thriller, with a twisted premise centering on Shin working with her police officer son (played by Jang Dong Yoon) to catch a copycat killer who’s using her methods.

2. “You and Everything Else”

Lifelong frenemies reunite in their 40s in this Netflix drama premiering September 12. Kim Go Eun plays drama writer Ryu Eun Joong, whose candid personality has always attracted people. Park Ji Hyun, meanwhile, plays her wealthy and talented former classmate Cheon Sang Yeon, who’s now a successful movie producer. Their relationship has weathered decades of losing contact and reconnecting, making their latest reunion all the more emotionally charged.

3. “My Youth”

In JTBC’s My Youth, Song Joong Ki stars as a former child star turned novelist, Sun Woo Hae, who reconnects with his first love after a decade apart. Premiering on September 5, this drama sees Chun Woo Hee play his ambitious entertainment industry executive ex, Sung Je Yeon, creating a setup that’s sure to be packed with feels.

4. “Tempest”

In Tempest, Gianna Jun plays an ambassador who teams up with an elite mercenary to uncover an assassination plot involving both North and South Korea. This Disney+ original premieres on September 10, starring Gang Dong Won as the mysterious soldier-for-hire whose nationality and past remain shrouded in secrecy. Gang’s first appearance in a drama series since 2004, the show is expected to be one of the month’s hottest releases.

5. “The Murky Stream”

Rowoon’s final drama before military enlistment transports viewers to the Joseon era, beginning September 26 on Disney+. The Murky Stream follows three individuals whose fates converge around the Gyeonggang River, through which all of Joseon’s money and goods pass. Rowoon plays Jang Si Yul, a seemingly good-for-nothing man hiding his past, while Shin Ye Eun and Park Seo Ham round out the trio as a principled merchant leader and an upright government official determined to fight corruption.

6. “Confidence Queen”

Park Min Young leads a team of sophisticated con artists in Confidence Queen, a crime caper premiering on September 6 on Amazon Prime Video. Park’s character, Yoon Yi Rang, boasts a genius-level IQ of 165 and heads the group alongside veteran swindler James (Park Hee Soon) and pure-hearted newcomer Myeong Ku Ho (Joo Jong Hyuk). Viewers who also enjoy Japanese dramas may have noticed that the show is a Korean adaptation of the hit series Confidence Man JP.

7. “A Hundred Memories”

Fans of the 80s are in for a treat with A Hundred Memories, premiering on September 13 on JTBC. The era is set to come alive in this nostalgic coming-of-age story starring Kim Da Mi as Go Young Rye, a bus attendant who suffers from motion sickness but refuses to quit because the job helps support her family while she dreams of university. Shin Ye Eun plays her best friend and fellow bus attendant Seo Jong Hee, who’s determined to escape her unfortunate family circumstances.
