V wished J-Hope a happy birthday on Twitter yesterday. He posted adorable, funny photos of J-Hope in a birthday tweet, like the members always do for each other to celebrate one another’s birthdays. Unlike the other members, however, V didn’t say who was posting the tweet in his original tweet.

In a separate tweet, V let ARMYs know who had tweeted the previous tweet. He wrote “I’m Taehyung” with an emoji of a blonde man.

While ARMYs were happy to find out who was behind the birthday tweet, they couldn’t help but notice V’s choice of emojis. Based on his blonde emoji and the fact that he used it in Weverse posts as well, ARMYs suspect that V dyed his hair blonde for either a comeback or the PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE concerts in Seoul.

Here’s a look at 3 other times V used emojis to give hints about BTS’s comebacks!

1. When he spoiled the “Butter” choreography

On April 28, 2021, V tweeted a photo of himself with the “shh” emoji.

ARMYs didn’t think much of his emoji choice at the time, but he was actually spoiling some of the “Butter” choreography. When they sing “let me show you that talk is cheap,” the members put their index fingers over their mouths, just like the emoji from V’s tweet!

2. When he spoiled his curly hair

V debuted fluffy permed hair during the “Butter” press conference in May 2021, but he spoiled his new hairstyle on Weverse months ahead of the press conference.

In February 2021, he wished ARMYs a happy lunar new year on Weverse, and he put a curly-haired emoji at the end of his post. A few months later, he revealed his curly hair!

3. When he spoiled the “Permission to Dance” video

V spoiled the cowboy theme of the “Permission to Dance” video on Twitter. A few weeks before the video came out, he shared “Only You” by MSG (Wannabe) on Twitter. He included a cowboy emoji and thumbs-up emoji in his tweet.

When the “Permission to Dance” video came out, ARMYs realized that the cowboy hat emoji was a hint because the members were all decked out in cowboy-themed outfits.
