4 Times K-Pop Artists Were The Ultimate Professionals On Stage

From wardrobe malfunctions to equipment mishaps, these idols handled them perfectly.

K-Pop stars’ powerful and jaw-dropping performances make them one of people’s favorite parts of the industry. There’s no better feeling than watching your favorite singer get up on the stage and perform one of your favorite songs. However, it’s the range of difficulty these performances have that causes mishaps at times.

Sometimes, an incident or two can happen in the midst of a powerful dance sequence. Be it a wardrobe malfunction or a piece of equipment falling out of place, these stars have dealt with the issue so professionally and coolly that fans can’t get over it.

1. BTS’s Jungkook

The BTS star made history in November of last year with his incredible Qatar World Cup performance. Jungkook became the first Korean artist to perform at a FIFA World Cup opening ceremony and did so in style. Despite the performance looking flawless in the eyes of the attendees and the fans watching from home, Jungkook revealed he actually ran into a mishap with his in-ears while singing.

The singer proved his talent and professionalism as he successfully completed a flawless performance despite the incident — people didn’t even notice there was anything wrong!

2. BLACKPINK’s Jennie

A wardrobe malfunction her fellow BLACKPINK member Jisoo faced during one of the group’s many “DDU-DU DDU-DU” stages showed not only Jennie’s amount of professionalism but also her caring personality. BLACKPINK members were performing their latest smash hit song at the time and Jisoo’s short skirt proved to be quite a hassle during some parts of the choreography.

During Jennie’s rap at the start of the song, the choreography has the members kneeling down on the floor. Given as Jisoo’s short skirt had a slit on the side, it was hard for her to comfortably go through with the dance sequence without the skirt revealing too much. Jennie seemingly took note of this and decided to change her hand choreography around, making it possible for her to cover Jisoo’s legs as the members went down.

3. BTS’s Jin

BTS’s “Blood Sweat & Tears” performances have always been among the fans’ favorites, they’re always grand and full of energy and sexiness — they also have the stage equipment to match it. Everyone loves some beautiful fireworks that explode during a powerful beat drop on stage until an unfortunate incident happens.

Sadly, that’s precisely what happened to BTS’s Jin who remained totally unphased. As the K-Pop star was powerfully dancing to the fan-favorite song, one of the fireworks accidentally exploded right near his face and he was even covered by its smoke for a few seconds. Jin, showing his true professionalism, never stopped dancing and finished the performance without even wincing once!

4. Stray Kids’ Hyunjin

“Thunderous” maybe just be one of the best songs to watch Stray Kids perform on music shows. Not only does the powerful beat almost guarantee an incredibly fun performance, but the members also give their all on stage. Some of the parts of the choreography though are as fun as they are dangerous and not many were surprised when they spotted a small incident happening during the group’s performance on KBS’s Music Bank. While it’s not seen on the recorded performance, you can easily spot the mishap during Hyunjin’s fancam uploaded by KBS.

During the last chorus of the song, following Hyunjin’s small dance break, some of the members are supposed to jump on the backs of others for a few seconds. The choreography is demanding, so fans were worried when Hyunjin seemingly was unable to properly jump on Changbin‘s back. However, the Stary Kids’ star played it off perfectly, emphasizing his hand movements as he danced in sync with the rest of the group.
