49-Year-Old Actress Confesses To Struggling With Menopause
Known as a CEO with assets of ₩10.0 billion KRW (about $6.84 million USD), actress Kim Jun Hee spoke out about her depression caused by menopause.
On the 14th, Kim Jun Hee caught attention by candidly confessing on her Instagram alongside a selfie, “Menopause is not easy. There are days when I cry for no reason and want comfort.”

She added, “It’s been months since I’ve been to a nail salon. Nowadays, 24 hours a day just isn’t enough for me. Booking appointments and doing anything has become so difficult. I’ve devoted my life to making my passion my profession and constantly challenging new things.”
Kim Jun Hee revealed, “During a live broadcast, someone saw my nails where the polish had worn off and said, ‘You should take care of your nails.’ That comment upset me a bit. I also want to sit leisurely in a nail salon and get my nails done. But there wasn’t time for that. My hands are always holding my phone—researching new ideas, taking notes, creating plans, handling work chats and emails. I felt that time was too precious to waste on nail care, and I wanted to focus on more productive tasks. I guess that’s why I felt sad about becoming a woman who doesn’t even take care of her nails.”
She continued, “But I love and cherish the me who is building a successful life more than the me who paints her nails well. My ideas and sparkling thoughts might be trapped in this time, which may never come again. So I’m pouring all my energy and passion into my business while I can. Eating healthy food and absorbing good knowledge for my health might be the best way to take care of my true self.”
Meanwhile, Kim Jun Hee was previously married to Jinusean’s Jinu but they divorced. After 12 years, in 2020, she remarried a non-celebrity who is two years younger and is currently active as a successful entrepreneur.
