5th Gen Idol’s Brutal Honesty About Hongdae Hook-Up Culture Surprises Fans
Former TOZ member Hart has gained attention for his frank talk about hook-up culture.

In 2023, the survival show Boys Planet aired, showing the selection process for ZEROBASEONE. While only a limited number of trainees made the final group, many were so popular that several spin-off groups were formed, including TOZ.
TOZ debuted in 2023 and recently disbanded after a few releases.

Member Hart (Haruto) was inactive from the group during the final few months, but has randomly popped up in different locations. He recently appeared in a street interview with popular internet personality Kole, where he seemingly came out.

The idol was recently spotted in another street interview about what brought foreigners to Korea, where the host did not recognize him as a former idol.
The video covered multiple aspects of coming to Korea and liking K-Pop, including the reality that people idealizing a place may miss. One of Hart’s sections discussed hook-up culture, specifically in Hongdae, which has recently been featured in the “Hongdae guy” meme, depicting men who target foreigners with sexual advances in the area.

After saying that he likes to visit Hongdae, he and the host agree that many people go “looking for the hook-up.” Haruto urges people to “be safe,” giving the reasoning as men not being as informed about safe sex.
He also urges women to not get attached to men that don’t deserve them.
