I’m introducing you to an 86-year-old BTS fan who still finds it amazing at this stage in my life I’m fangirling [over] a K-Pop band, but since discovering them four years ago, they have filled in a gap in my life. I’m on my own, I’m disabled, and I spend quite a bit of my time following them, watching the clips, watching the news, watching the articles about them…

Hope I’m still around in 2025 to see a comeback if there is one. Hope Jin’s okay, don’t know where Jungkook’s gone, but Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, and RM have all done amazing things since the break.

The video went viral with 159.4K views and 42.7K likes at the time of writing.
ARMYs of all ages commented, relating to her post in some way, whether it was missing Jin and Jungkook, or fellow “dope old people,” as RM would say, relating to her.
Marilyn was shocked the next day to discover that her video had gone viral. She expressed her gratitude to both BTS and ARMY.
I woke up this morning, turned on TikTok, and was absolutely blown away to see all the likes and comments. I can’t believe that anyone was interested to follow or like what I had to say yesterday, but I’m so happy about it, super, super excited… And the comments, I read every single one…
