While HYBE initially faced criticism over high prices for South Korean stops, it has become clear that international fans are dealing with similar, and in some cases worse, issues.

HYBE Slammed For Absurd BTS World Tour Ticket Prices

The Mexico City stop has drawn particular attention after fans reported that a large portion of tickets appeared on resale sites almost immediately, listed at extreme prices. Many fans say tickets were being resold even before the official presale window opened, raising serious concerns about how those tickets were obtained in the first place.

Based on many fans’ posts, only a small percentage of local fans were able to secure tickets during the Weverse presale, despite all dates selling out quickly.

Ticketmaster has reportedly maintained that no irregularities occurred during the presale process. However, fans have shared consistent accounts of error messages, sudden access issues, and seats appearing available but becoming impossible to purchase at checkout. Many describe the Mexico City presale as “suspicious from the start,” especially when compared to other tour stops.

The frustration has only grown as resale prices continue to climb. Tickets originally sold for a few hundred dollars are now being listed for thousands, with even the cheapest seats reaching extreme amounts.

Fans say the experience felt stressful, unfair, and driven more by luck than by any legitimate queue or membership system.

As backlash grows, fans are calling on BigHit Music and HYBE to step in, investigate the ticketing process, and take stronger action against scalping.
