Popular Actor “Caught” By A Fan Looking Suspicious While Taking A Picture Of A Woman
Actor Park Jung Min had an unexpected run-in with a fan in Japan, and the timing could not have been more hilariously awkward.

On May 10, 2026 (KST), the YouTube channel MUZE (which belongs to his publishing business) uploaded a new video titled “We Went To Bookstores In Tokyo,” following Park Jung Min during a trip to Japan for publishing-related work.
In the video, Park Jung Min explained that he had been in Tokyo meeting with various publishers and editors. Since he finally had a day off, he decided to visit bookstores in Ginza.

While out and about, he shared an embarrassing story from the day before. According to Park Jung Min, he had been walking down the street when he noticed what appeared to be an election poster. However, one poster in particular caught his eye because it looked different from the others.
The poster featured a woman rather than campaign promises, reportedly with a pink-toned photo, a dog, a cat, and a social media QR code. Curious about what it said, Park Jung Min pulled out his phone and used an image translation app on the poster.

Unfortunately, from the outside, it looked a little less innocent.
There was a poster of a woman, so I was taking a picture of it with an image translation app. Then someone next to me said, ‘Hello?’

When he turned around, he realized it was a Korean woman with a young girl who appeared to be her daughter. The woman then asked the question that made the situation even more mortifying.
Are you taking a picture of that because she’s pretty?
— Fan
Park Jung Min quickly tried to explain that he was not randomly photographing a woman’s face on the street. Instead, he had only been trying to translate the oddly designed poster.

The moment became even funnier when the woman introduced him to her daughter as the “’Good Goodbye’ uncle,” referring to his viral moment with Hwasa. And of course, the little girl recognized him as well.

The child confidently said, ‘I know him too.’ So I immediately lowered my phone and saw them off. I mean… It probably looked like I was taking a picture of some woman’s face on a poster in the street.

Thankfully, the awkward encounter was just a funny misunderstanding caused by a translation app, an unusual campaign poster, and truly unfortunate timing!
