However, recently, some have complained about the visuals of actors making the watch experience hard, with one actor acting as the sparking point of the argument.

Earlier this year, the popular series Resident Playbook aired and was praised for the storylines showing the lives of residents at Jongro Yulje Hospital with is comedy, romance, and angst.

One of the romances in the series featured actress Go Youn Jung and actor Jung Joon Won, which was met with highly negative reactions of the male actor’s visuals. A post showing the pair in comparison to each other recently went viral, intended to criticize Jung’s appearance.

Many in the quotes questioned the continued casting of age gap couples with a “visual difference,” commenting that women had to be always be beautiful.

On the other hand, amongst the defense of his visuals, many argued that appearance should not matter, so much as the acting skill shown.
