Actress And Patriot: Song Hye Kyo Donates 10,000 Korean Guidebooks On Hangeul Day
October 9 is Hangeul Day in South Korea and actress Song Hye Kyo made sure it was celebrated.
It was revealed that actress Song Hye Kyo and Professor Seo Kyung Duk donated 10,000 copies of the Korean-French guidebooks to the Korean Cultural Center in Paris. There are historic sites of Korea’s independence fighters at the center and these guidebooks contain important information regarding a Korean independence fighter by the name of Seo Young Hae (1902-1956). These guidebooks were donated as a celebration of Hangeul day, which marks the formal proclamation of the Korean alphabet in 1446.
As a part of a book donation project, this will be the third donation that Song Hye Kyo has made with Professor Seo. Together, they have previously donated 10,000 books to the Historic Korean National Association in Los Angeles as well as to the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea in Chongqing, China.
None of this should come as a surprise as this is not the first time Song Hye Kyo has made donation efforts. She is widely known for her giving heart and has donated to various places such as hospitals, charities and disaster reliefs. What a beautiful soul, inside and out.
