ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin Is Visibly Shaken By Yoo Jae Suk Bringing Up An Allegation Surrounding NewJeans’s Name — Here’s What Went Down
ADOR‘s CEO, Min Hee Jin, was visibly flustered by a remark made by Yoo Jae Suk regarding an allegation surrounding the group NewJeans.
NewJeans, the incredibly popular rookie group, was a guest on tvN‘s You Quiz On The Block. Also joining the group for its highly anticipated appearance was the group’s label, ADOR’s CEO, Min Hee Jin.
NewJeans has had an explosive start to its career, releasing three songs, “Cookie,” “Attention,” and “Hypeboy,” as part of its debut. All three songs would go on to dominate domestic music charts.
In the episode, Yoo Jae suk brought up the group’s name, asking if NewJeans literally meant new jeans or if it had a deeper meaning. Member Haerin then revealed the message behind the group’s name.

Immediately after Haerin’s response, Yoo Jae Suk then looked over at Min Hee Jin inquisitively before asking if the group’s name was more personal to the CEO than previously mentioned.
Some say that the Jeans in NewJeans (which in Korean is pronounced similarly to Jin) come from the “Jin” in Min Hee Jin…

Min Hee Jin, who previously seemed relaxed, hurriedly denied stating that is “Absolutely not true.” Yoo Jae Suk noting how Min Hee Jin was flustered, called out the CEO’s change in disposition before absolving her of the allegation.
She was genuinely shocked just now. The CEO’s back is no longer against the chair, which means this (the allegation) is absolutely not true.

NewJeans is the highly touted girl group from the creative mind of ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, who had previously served as the Creative Director of SM Entertainment. NewJeans, consisting of members Minji, Hanni, Haerin, Hyein, and Danielle, made its debut on July 2022.
