ADOR Releases Official Statement Regarding NewJeans’ (NJZ) Rights

ADOR has announced legal action regarding posts that infringe on NewJeans’ (NJZ) rights.

On the 17th, ADOR stated,

“Since NewJeans’ debut, we have been continuously monitoring domestic and international online communities, music sites, and SNS channels to promptly request the removal of posts that infringe on our artists’ rights and take strict legal action. We are responding firmly to overseas-based sites without exception.

However, as the severity of rights violations such as malicious fake news, invasion of privacy, abusive language, and derogatory remarks against our artists has recently increased, we have deployed additional personnel for focused evidence gathering. We plan to file criminal complaints against those who posted malicious content on online platforms. Additionally, depending on the results of further evidence collection, we intend to file irregular supplementary complaints soon.

We are taking an even stricter stance against deepfake crimes. Recently, perpetrators of deepfake content requested settlements, which we rejected, and we have expressed our intention for severe punishment to investigative authorities. Furthermore, we are actively cooperating with law enforcement to eradicate deepfake crimes targeting our artists.”
