Recently, &TEAM‘s K was drawn into controversy after a social media post gained attention.

A post made by a woman known as Maocharu sparked the outrage. Maocharu, according to her Instagram account, is an employee at a host club, where patrons can pay for sessions, which include the company of a host and a specified number of drinks.

Maocharu recently celebrated her birthday at the venue, where she held a special event.

On the day of, she shared a post showing her “sponsorship tower,” which included various names, including K’s, along with &TEAM.

Names on a sponsorship tower are clients who have paid for bottles of expensive liquor, which are reflected in the host’s totals. There is a stigma of being sleezy behind the host work, though at its core, it does not involve sexual favors.

Due to this, fans of K demanded clarification from Maocharu, who admitted it was a joke as she is a fan of &TEAM.

K would never do a tower.
Those six towers — I didn’t choose the names or anything. The customers decided the names and set them up themselves.

It’s actually pretty common for customers to do this when they have a favorite host or hostess.
If you think about it normally, it’s impossible for K to do it himself, so it wouldn’t normally become a topic or cause a scandal.
People understand it’s a joke, so there’s no reason for such a big fuss, which is why I was really surprised.
