aespa’s New Song “Rich Man” Earns Scathing Criticism
aespa recently held the first night of their 2025 aespa Live Tour Synk: aexis Line in Seoul, where they debuted their newest track “Rich Man.”

“Rich Man” is the title track of their upcoming mini album of the same name, and has already been a hot topic based on the teasers released so far.
During the group’s August 29th concert, they revealed “Rich Man” to the world for the first time, ahead of the release. Videos of the group performing the song were posted on a popular forum, where it gained nearly 40,000 views and hundreds of comments.
In the comments, netizens had drastically differing reactions to the song and performance, with some feeling let down by the track in various ways. Others felt that it did not feel as “daring” as other aespa tracks, or questioned if the group were lip-syncing.

- Maybe they’ve lost their touch… Is aespa losing their identity? Please go back to the Whiplash, Supernova, Armageddon vibe… sigh…
- Honestly, this song is the worst among aespa’s title tracks, but the members are so pretty that I ended up watching till the end lol
- The song is disappointing… it felt kind of boring.
- It’s obviously lip-syncing.
- I had high expectations, but it turned out to be a bit plain, so that’s a shame.
What do you think of aespa’s “Rich Man?”
