Aespa’s NingNing Accidentally Recreates One Of K-Pop’s Most Iconic Viral Moments With Hilarious “NSFW” Blunder

Her members’ reactions were golden.

Aespa are no strangers to going viral, but in a hilarious new clip, NingNing accidentally recreated one of K-Pop’s most iconic viral moments…and it was priceless.

On January 3, aespa held a special live stream to commemorate their first-ever reality show, Synk Road.

While the show, which is a travel show, already promises plenty of hilariously chaotic material…

…the members did not hold back during the live stream either.

NingNing’s contagious laugh had everyone laughing along with her (as usual), but it was her accidental allusion to one of EXO Kai‘s most viral moments that is gaining attention among fans online.

In 2019, EXO went on the famous variety show Knowing Bros to promote their album, OBSESSION. While playing a game of ‘scream in silence,’ Kai failed to understand what Baekhyun was trying to communicate. Confused, he glanced at his lap and asked, “Under my underpants…two words?”

This immediately sent his members and the cast into hysterics and instantly became one of K-Pop’s most iconic moments.

It was so memorable that when he returned to the show with SuperM a year later, he said that even strangers on the street did not let him live it down.

Aespa gave the ‘scream in silence’ game a shot during their special Synk Road live stream, where things took a familiar turn.

Karina was given the word “ae-key,” which refers to the “ae-key cards” that the members had to find as part of their mission to complete the “Synk Road” in their show. Karina did her best to explain the word…but NingNing heard something completely different.

Fans were left laughing at the blunder and couldn’t resist immediately comparing it to Kai’s…

They even came up with a side-by-side comparison.

The other aespa members were clearly left shook, wondering if NingNing’s blunder could be considered “NSFW.” Their concern mirrored Kai’s worries when he first dropped his “panty” line in 2019.

This particular mistake may have been coincidental, but it’s funny that it happened twice already…both times to an SM Entertainment artist!
