“Controversial Title Confirmed” — aespa’s Unexpected Comeback Concept Shocks Fans

No one saw it coming!

Following their KCON 2025 in LA earlier this week, aespa remains a hot topic among K-Pop fans after the group unexpectedly started the teaser promotional campaign for their highly anticipated comeback.

The members had previously revealed they would be releasing new music in September, and the date has now been confirmed with a new mini album titled Rich Man coming on the fifth.

A short video clip revealing tons of information about the upcoming release was shared on aespa’s official social media accounts. An animated red guitar with lightning-like effects in the clip makes it clear the new mini album will have a rockstar concept.

The song title and aespa’s name are also written in a Metallica-esque font, further hinting that the members will likely rock powerful, eye-catching outfits, hair, makeup, and accessories.

In another post, the group shared a poster revealing that the new release will be a mini-album — aespa’s sixth — and that the comeback date will be September 5. The release will come out within days of aespa’s Seoul concert, AExis Line, which is set to kick off the group’s third world tour.

A phrase is also included in both the video teaser and the poster, which could be potential lyrics of the new title track.

I am enough as I am. I am a Rich Man.

Fans were not expecting the comeback teaser at all, but the short video sparked massive excitement regardless.

Meanwhile, when the song title — and now mini album name as well — was initially leaked last month, fans didn’t quite welcome it. Though it caused quite the controversy at first, most seem to have changed their minds after the concept was fully revealed in today’s teasers.
