ALLDAY PROJECT‘s Woochan has sparked a heated debate online with his remarks deemed “homophobic.”
During a recent live broadcast, a fan commented, “Hyung, let’s date,” with the assumption that it was a male fan, as the term hyung means”older brother” and is used by males. Yet, Woochan’s response sparked heated debates as he replied, “But if I’m a hyung to you, why would you try to date me? I’m not like that, no, I’m not. It won’t work…”

The clip went viral on X and has continued to spark a major debate. In particular, many thought Woochan’s phrasing and tone seemed homophobic, as he couldn’t imagine the idea of dating a male fan, and they shared other examples of idols’ reactions and how different it was.
