Active Singer With Just 13 Listeners Goes Viral, Responds Directly To Mention

It is no secret that statistics are largely used to determine the “success” of an artist, ranging from their streaming performance to the number of albums sold.

Of the many features on Spotify, one that is often referred to by fans is the number of “listeners” an artist has.

While a large number of monthly listeners is a good thing, the opposite is considered “bad” as not many people are checking out the artist’s music.

Singer Jangma, for whom very little information is available online, has released music each year since 2023, with her most recent release, “Eternally,” released on September 30, 2025.

An account known for promoting artists with smaller followings or “nugu” artists, @nugupromoter shared Jangma’s monthly listener count, which was 15. The tweet currently has five million views, with netizens sharing their thoughts on her music.

The shoutout seems to have made an impact, as Jangma now has 178 monthly listeners, with more likely to be documented as Spotify’s system catches up.

On top of this Jangma reacted to the shout out and individuals mentioning the post with a grateful message for @nugupromoter, which has also gone viral. Jangma called the uptick in listeners an early Christmas present, along with well wishes.
