ATEEZ’s Seonghwa And Hongjoong Call Out Sasaengs In New Song

They said, “Get a job!”

Recently, ATEEZ made their comeback with new album THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL. One of the songs featured is Hongjoong and Seonghwa‘s “MATZ.”

The song is deemed unfit, along with nine other songs of the twelve, by KBS Broadcasting Standards due to the mention of the brand name KIA Carnival. Yet, the members were not dissing the vehicle or brand as some believed.

Seonghwa and Hongjoong were actually calling out sasaengs (“stalker fans”) who put GPS on their vehicle. They also called out stalkers who buy and sell idols’ numbers and addresses.

If the GPS for necessities is on, not on the carnival but on the carrier
You can be busy too
Don’t worry, regardless of above or below the stage
I don’t live shamefully
Numbers without sources
Just don’t sell them, no shame, enjoy as always

Previously, K-Pop fan, Nolae, posted a video listening to Justin Bieber‘s “Maria,” his song about a real stalker fan. Nolae wondered which K-Pop idol would release a similar song, calling out their sasaengs, and ATEEZ’s Seonghwa and Hongjoong did just a day later!

Hopefully, those who need to hear the message of “MATZ” will pay attention to the lyrics.
