B1A4’s CNU Cast As Male Lead In “Gwangju” Musical
CNU of boy group B1A4 has been selected as the male lead in the musical, Gwangju.
His agency, WM Entertainment, confirmed that he was selected for the role of Park Han Soo, a central figure in the musical.
Since being discharged from his mandatory military service, CNU participated in promotions for B1A4’s fourth full-length album, Origine, in October of last year. News of his participation in this musical is drawing attention from fans, as it is his first musical appearance since his military discharge.
This is not CNU’s first musical experience, however, as he has made appearances in works such as Chess, The Three Musketeers, and Hamlet. His past appearances were complimented for having a strong presence combined with soft charms and warm visuals.
The musical is said to be a masterpiece commemorating the 41st anniversary of the May 18 Democratic Uprising. CNU plans to play his role as perfectly as possible by immersing himself in the mood of the musical, thereby displaying realistic and detailed acting.
Fans can expect to see him at the LG Arts Center on April 13 for the opening of the musical.
