A heartwarming in-house romance at the Hanwha Eagles is heading to the altar. Cheerleader Kim Yeon Jung and infielder Ha Joo Seok will tie the knot this December.
Their upcoming marriage was unexpectedly revealed on October 1, 2025, during a game between the Hanwha Eagles and the SSG Landers at Incheon SSG Landers Field. As Ha Joo Seok stepped up to bat, commentator Jung Min Chul mentioned that he would be having a wedding after the season. Soon after, word spread that Kim Yeon Jung, one of Hanwha’s most beloved cheerleaders, is the bride. Reports confirmed that Ha Joo Seok has already begun handing out wedding invitations.
Kim Yeon Jung, often called a “stadium goddess,” is a top cheerleader known for her beauty, talent, and discipline. She began her career in 2007 with the Ulsan Mobis Phoebus cheer squad and has worked with the Hanwha Eagles, Lotte Giants, and NC Dinos. Since 2017, she has been with the Hanwha Eagles and currently serves as the team’s cheer captain.
Ha Joo Seok joined the Eagles in 2012 as the No. 1 overall pick in the rookie draft. Primarily a shortstop, he has also played second base. He re-signed with the team this year on a one-year FA contract worth ₩110 million KRW (about $78,400 USD) and has recently been performing strongly on both offense and defense, contributing to the team’s postseason push.
