Big Hit Entertainment To Acquire Agency With A “Top Boy Group”

The acquisition is expected to happen by 2020 at the latest.

Big Hit Entertainment, the company that houses superstars like BTS and monster rookies TXT, has plans to acquire an agency currently handling a “top boy group”.

Recently, news came out that Big Hit Entertainment acquired Source Music, the label that houses GFRIEND. It is now an independent subsidiary label under Big Hit.

Negotions between Big Hit and the “top boy group” agency are already underway. There are currently some tune-up issues, but people in the industry believe the acquisition is almost certain to happen. The acquisition is expected to happen by 2020 at the latest.

Big Hit Entertainment, who had almost 100% dependence on the sales of BTS, will soon have another boy group and GFRIEND. Source Music is home to numerous female trainees, and many are expecting a new girl group to debut.

Additionally, another company that houses a famous trot singer is also in discussion, but a member of the agency has stated that the details have yet to be discussed.
