BIGBANG’s Daesung Abruptly Cancels Solo Concert
Daesung, a member of the group BIGBANG, has abruptly canceled his upcoming solo concert in Melbourne, Australia.
On July 16, Daesung’s agency R&D Company released an official statement announcing the cancellation.
“Due to unexpected technical and production-related issues, the concert scheduled to take place on August 15 at Festival Hall in Melbourne has unfortunately been canceled. After careful discussions with all parties involved, we made this decision in order to present the best possible performance to fans. We sincerely apologize to all the fans who were looking forward to the concert, and we ask for your understanding regarding the inconvenience caused by this sudden announcement.”
Tickets purchased through the official ticketing site will be automatically refunded in full. Previously, fellow BIGBANG member G-Dragon also canceled his world tour concert scheduled for August 2 in Bangkok, Thailand. At the time, his agency Galaxy Corporation cited health risks due to extreme heat, explaining that the open-air venue, Rajamangala National Stadium, posed safety concerns for the audience.
