In first place was Jennie’s track “like Jennie,” and there was accompanying text, speaking about the lyrics and Jennie’s achievements.

Over a metallic hybrid of baile funk and phonk production (courtesy of Diplo), she delivers some of the sharpest rapping of her career with a snarled confidence, with lines like “Name, shame, blame tryna burst my bubble” upturning every negative narrative on its head. Co-written with top names like Tayla Parx and ZICO, the track’s self-referential lyrics double as a manifesto of identity. Despite the hate or jealousy leveled at her, JENNIE remains the blueprint everyone wants to follow: ‘Who wanna rock with JENNIE? Keep your hair done, nails done like JENNIE/ Who else got ’em obsessed like JENNIE? Like, like, like, I think I really like JENNIE.’

Yet, one line sparked huge criticism towards the idol, and it was the line referencing the lyrics as the author added, “Despite the hate or jealousy leveled at her, JENNIE remains the blueprint everyone wants to follow.

Although many fans loved the comments, recent “lazy” accusations during BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE shows meant that Jennie became a target of more criticism. Many hit back at the narrative, explaining that nobody wanted to be like Jennie due to her recent stage presence, which sparked some malicious and intense backlash.

Many fans defended Jennie in the comments, but there were a lot of malicious responses.
