On March 20, TV Daily reported that THE BLACK LABEL has responded to rumors suggesting Jinni has signed with the label. In a short statement to the media outlet, YG Entertainment‘s sister label denied the rumors.

Previously, many netizens alleged that the idol would be joining the label when it was revealed that an affiliate of the label was following Jinni’s newly created Instagram account.

Jinni debuted with JYP Entertainment’s NMIXX in February 2022 but left the group in December of that year. At the time, neither JYP Entertainment nor Jinni gave a reason why the idol would be leaving the group.
