BLACKPINK’s Jennie And aespa’s NingNing Wear The Same Sporty Corset Top But In Different Ways
BLACKPINK‘s Jennie and aespa’s NingNing have always been named lookalikes due to their catlike features and round cheeks, especially in NingNing’s early debut days. That’s not where the similarities end. Most recently, NingNing was spotted in a sporty corset top similar to one Jennie wore for “Lovesick Girls.”
Jennie wore this sequinned off-the-shoulder corset top reformed from a sports jersey during the promotions for “Lovesick Girls.”
Jennie paired her top with form-fitting black pants, a ribbon choker, and a scarf at her waist. The look screamed elegant and expensive, but with a sporty twist.
NingNing wore a similar top for her comeback with “Spicy” during the showcase on May 8, 2023. The off-the-shoulder and sports jersey detailing were super similar to the top that Jennie wore.
NingNing went for a more girly style, pairing the pink corset top with knee-high socks, a pleated tennis skirt, and a simple necklace. The corset detailing is also different from Jennie’s. While Jennie’s has a tied back just like a real corset, NingNing’s cinches at the sides of the waist with black trimmings.
Jennie’s top was designed by Pamnida, who owns the brand I Love DIY by Pamnida. She specializes in sports jerseys reformed into gorgeous off-the-shoulder pieces!
As NingNing’s look is still fresh, it is hard to tell if it was indeed an original by Pamnida or not. Pamnida already claimed Jennie’s stage outfit as a design from her on Instagram.
Both girls rocked the sporty top in different ways — Jennie went for a more elegant style while NingNing was as cute and bubbly as herself. Both girls looked great!
