BLACKPINK’s Jennie Goes Viral For Her Reaction To Having A “Marilyn Monroe” Style Wardrobe Malfunction During The “BORN PINK” Tour
When it comes to performing on stage, BLACKPINK‘s Jennie has always been praised for her immense presence when it comes to visuals and talent. Yet, Jennie also has a more playful side when performing and allows her true personality to shine.
Recently, Jennie went viral during a recent tour show for her hilarious reaction to a “Marilyn Monroe Style” wardrobe malfunction.
Since the tour started, Jennie has gone viral multiple times at different shows, whether it’s her amazing unreleased song, scolding the fans, or her reaction to confetti.
Well, it seems like Jennie has struck again and this time, she went viral for an adorable reaction to a “wardrobe” malfunction during a recent show.
On October 27, BLACKPINK was in Houston to continue the US portion of their BORN PINK tour. In particular, one moment caught the attention of fans and it was during the iconic song “Lovesick Girls.” During the track, the members are wearing pink outfits, and Jennie’s was just as cute with a military-inspired design.
During “Lovesick Girls,” despite the cuteness of the outfit, it seems like the design wasn’t suited to the entire staging. At one point, all the members gathered on the stage and there seemed to be some sort of fan in place, probably to ensure the members didn’t overheat.
Yet, as Jennie made her way into the formation, the wind seemed to catch the idol by surprise as her skirt started flying. As soon as it happened, Jennie’s expression changed instantly as she quickly patted it down so that her safety shorts weren’t showing.
Rather than get flustered or annoyed, Jennie showcased her true personality as she started laughing and saw the funny side of what had happened.
She even seemed to embrace it for one moment as she did a heart movement. Considering her beauty and elegance, it turned from a wardrobe malfunction into something resembling the iconic Marilyn Monroe “White Dress Moment.”
Jennie then continued laughing as she changed formation again, until making her way to the center for her rap part, where she truly channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe with an iconic “Pink Skirt Moment.”
Yet, although many described it as a “wardrobe malfunction,” others praised the fact that the outfits had safety shorts and were created in such a way that even moments like these would allow the members to be comfortable and not worry.
It meant that the video could be enjoyed for Jennie’s adorable reaction.
As always, Jennie is a true professional but also managed to showcase that she isn’t an “Ice Queen” like many people assume. In fact, the recent shows have cemented her warm and genuine personality where she can have fun on stage with her members and fans.
