BLACKPINK Jisoo’s Upcoming Acting Role Immediately Sparks Criticism

On August 31, YTN Star reported that Jisoo will be starring in a new zombie K-Drama titled Influenza. The news outlet reported that Jisoo will be featuring in a new series alongside Park Jung Min, who is widely regarded as one of the best actors of his generation.

According to reports, Influenza is based on a novel of the same name and will  mostly take place in an air-defense building in Seoul. The report states that the drama will be about a soldier and his ex-girlfriend finding each other amid a zombie apocalypse.

The report states that Jisoo will be playing the role of Young Joo, whose boyfriend is in the military, and the K-Drama’s lead.

The news has since gone viral, with many netizens reacting to the report. While many were glad to see Jisoo take on a new role, many others questioned the idol’s qualifications in light of her controversial past K-Drama Snowdrop.
