The gorgeous Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles has been used in various notable music video sets throughout the years, including artists like Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, John Legend, and more.

In Taylor Swift’s “Delicate” music video, the beginning of the story takes place at the hotel where she showcases the difficulties of being famous, including crazed fans, obnoxious reporters, and bodyguards who follow her every step.

Upon receiving a magical note and opening it in her dressing room, Taylor is ecstatic to learn it’s magical powers turned her invisible and she begins dancing around the hotel.

Showing off her goofy “dance like nobody’s watching” side, the hotel becomes the perfect contrasting backdrop. The elegant background emphasizes even more how out of place her silly dancing is.

Meanwhile, Jisoo’s new “Flower” music video utilizes the same location but in an entirely new way. The cool-toned filter of the music video gives off a vintage vibe as Jisoo dances in a long, floral dress.

As Jisoo sings lyrics like “I fly away like a blue butterfly, it’s all on you that you didn’t hold on,” she evokes an image of leaving behind a toxic love.

She further emphasizes this by ripping off her pearl necklace — one that she looked at longingly through the window of a store during the video — and breathing deeply, as if she is finally free. The hotel adds to the feeling of being “trapped” while also matching her elegant concept.
