BLACKPINK Cancels “KILL THIS LOVE” Press Conference Following Sokcho Fire

They canceled two hours before the scheduled conference.

BLACKPINK has canceled their “KILL THIS LOVE” press conference two hours before the scheduled time due to the Sokcho fire.

BLACKPINK was scheduled to hold a press conference in celebration of the launch of their new EP album “KILL THIS LOVE” at CGV Cheongdam Cinecity at 11 am on April 5. This event was canceled at 9 am due to the emergency situation that arose with the wildfire in Sokcho area.

We have decided to cancel the press conference for BLACKPINK’s comeback that was scheduled for 11 am on the 5th. We have made this decision in sympathy for the residents of the Gangwon region due to the Goseong-Sokcho wildfire. We sincerely convey our empathy to the victims of the fire and to those are making a great effort.

The east-northern area of South Korea was in a state of emergency due to uncontainable wildfires that were quickly spreading. The government has since declared the Gangwon region including Goseong, Sokcho, Gangneung, Donghae and Injae a “national disaster crisis”.

 

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK released their new EP album as well as the music video for their new song “Kill This Love” at 12 am (KST) April 5.
