The “PETPINK” family grew one size bigger last December when Rosé welcomed adorable dog Hank into her heart. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the BLACKPINK star revealed her adorable first meeting with him.
In a nutshell, Rosé says she was “starstruck” when she first laid eyes on Hank, a mixed breed terrier that she refers to as a “special breed.” Immediately, she found herself falling in love with the fluffy brown and white pooch.

She went on to reveal that at first, Hank was very inquisitive about the strangers in his home, sniffing Rosé cautiously. Of course, that only proved to Rosé how smart he was.
I remember he was very like, ‘Who are you?’, because we’d come into their home. And he was sniffing us and being very cautious. He seemed like a very smart dog.

One of the sweetest things about Hank is that Rosé adopted him rather than buying a dog from a breeder. Originally named Mireu, Hank started life at a shelter in Gangneung city on South Korea’s east coast. Talking to Rolling Stone, the soloist and main vocalist explained that someone else was taking care of Hank at the time.
When Hank’s former caretaker asked Rosé if she wanted to hold him, Rosé asked, “Oh my God, can I?” She reenacted her expression for the camera and it was way too cute.
And as soon as she held the pup in her arms and felt how tiny he was, her heart was already set. She decided to bring him home that day, and the rest is history!
I held him and he was so much smaller than I expected. That’s when I was like, ‘Yep, I’m bringing him home.’
