BLACKPINK‘s Rosé has been hit with scathing criticism for her recent Instagram post, but netizens have come to the idol’s defence.

Recently, Rosé shared some photos on Instagram.

The post had some photos of the idol from her recent travels amid the DEADLINE shows.

There were also some photos of Rosé in her hotel room, eating a cup of ramen.

The reason the final two photos sparked criticism was the presence of Coca-Cola and Sprite cans, which are two brands on the BDS boycott list amid the genocide in Gaza. Netizens shared criticism, claiming that Rosé was “promoting” the brands in her photos.

Yet, netizens defended the idol, explaining that it’s common for hotels to provide a range of soft drinks and that they were just sat there unopened. They also added that the word “promoting” had lost meaning and it wasn’t what Rosé was doing as she was just sat eating ramen.
