BLACKPINK Rosé’s “Super Bowl” Commercial Faces Body-Shaming Backlash
BLACKPINK‘s Rosé made an unexpected Super Bowl appearance during the much-talked-about commercial break. However, not all reactions have been positive, with the K-Pop star facing many body-shaming comments.

The Super Bowl is one of the most talked-about and watched events of the year in the United States, and so are its commercials. Due to increasingly high viewership, brands have to pay millions for the opportunity to reach millions of Americans.
This year’s Super Bowl (the sixtieth) was hosted at Levi’s Stadium in California. As such, there was no way the brand would miss out on a commercial slot. That is exactly where Rosé made her appearance.

Though the singer was present at the stadium on the big night, she also appeared in the brand’s Super Bowl commercial, much to the surprise of K-Pop fans.
Rosé’s appearance was brief, showing off the iconic Levi’s jeans while walking towards her guitar (as on-brand as it gets). She definitely sparked a lot of conversation, but unfortunately, not all of it was praise.

Many claimed the idol was not the right choice for a Levi’s commercial because of her body proportions.

ROSÉ? Really? Levi's could do better than that basic pick.

Regardless of the hate, Rosé made history as the very first K-Pop idol to have appeared in a much-sought-after Super Bowl commercial.
