BLACKPINK’s Latest Comeback Gives Them Claim To The Second-Most Songs On Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart, Breaking A Previous Tie

It broke them out of a tie with the artist that now has the third-most claims.

BLACKPINK‘s latest single, “How You Like That”, has taken the world by storm. The song has been breaking records left and right, and is already nearing 300 million views on YouTube in the 3 weeks that it’s been out.

Now they have another achievement that they can be proud of!

Last week, the girls tied with the last highest-ranking K-Pop girl group song on Billboard‘s coveted Hot 100 chart, coming in at #33. The song that they tied with is none other than their own song “Sour Candy” with Lady Gaga!

But that’s not all. With this achievement, the girls have now become the K-Pop act with the second-most songs that have ranked on this list, breaking a tie that they had held with “Gangnam Style” singer PSY, who has four songs on the chart. “How You Like That” is their 5th song to place on the Hot 100 list, after “DDU-DU DDU-DU”, “Kiss and Make Up” (with Dua Lipa), “Kill This Love”, and “Sour Candy”.

BTS is, of course, the K-Pop act with the most songs that have ranked on the Hot 100 chart, with 11 total singles. However, with a new BLACKPINK song likely to come out within the next few weeks or months, it won’t be surprising if they get their 6th single on the list!
