BLACKPINK’s Rosé Soars To Number One On The Billboard Charts With “On The Ground”

Rosé is taking over the music world!

BLACKPINK’s Rosé latest single, “On The Ground,” has soared to the number one spot in both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.

According to statistics from the official website, “On The Ground” came in at number one on the Billboard Global 200 with 92.1 million streams and 29,000 copies sold worldwide between March 12 and 18. It also placed top of the Global Excl. U.S. chart with 85.7 million streams and 22,000 copies sold in countries outside of America during the same week.

The chart rankings are based on a combination of streams, downloads, and music retailers’ sales.

With this latest achievement, Rosé has also become the first artist to have topped the chart as both a solo artist and with a group. It comes after BLACKPINK made it to number one on the Global Excl. U.S. survey with “Lovesick Girls” last October.

Rosé made her solo debut on March 12 with her album “R” and the release of the title track “On The Ground.”

Since its release, Rosé broke the record for most pre-orders by a female K-Pop soloist. The video for her single had the most views in 24 hours for a K-Pop female artist and topped the Hanteo Chart!
