Fans were rightfully upset about the similarities.

Later, THE BOYZ’s agency, IST ENTERTAINMENT, released a statement that they had requested QWER’s agency to change the design, but no resolution was reached. Hence, they announced their plan to take legal action. QWER’s agency responded, saying that they had the design reviewed by experts who had confirmed that there were no issues of overlapping design or copyright infringement.

Fans thought that things had quietened down since then, but THE BOYZ’s recent performance at the 2025 KGMA changed it all. Sunwoo‘s rap featured lyrics about being copied, all while holding the lightstick.

Fans immediately alleged that he was calling out QWER publicly.

Fans began to tag QWER as well.

Whether or not he was actually referring to QWER, the shade was evident.

It looks like fans have nothing to worry about with Sunwoo in their corner!
