BTS ARMYs Praise Coldplay’s Chris Martin For His Fashion Choice At The 2023 GRAMMYs
BTS ARMYs are praising Coldplay‘s lead singer Chris Martin for his fashion choice at The 2023 GRAMMYs (also known as The 65th Annual Grammy Awards).
While celebrities wore their most formal or outlandish outfits to the award show…
Chris Martin appeared in a casual sweater and beanie.
Netizens found Chris Martin’s choice of outfit hilarious. Some thought he was making a statement based on how few of us consider The GRAMMYs the prestigious award show many had once considered it to be.

I’ll see your Pharrell Arby’s hat and raise you one Chris Martin nightcap. This is the face of a man who just realized that this year’s Grammy awards are not a pajama party theme and he totally got tricked. pic.twitter.com/GzcoiZSWwR

Yet, Chris Martin went viral on K-Pop TikTok. The video below has 331.9K views and 60.4K likes at the time of writing.
@minniejins what if chris martin wore this shirt at the grammy just to represent the song “My Universe” and BTS since they didn’t attend ☹️ #bts #bangtan #chrismartin #coldplay #fypシ #foryoupage
ARMYs praised him for his humbleness and modesty. Some also believe that his choice of sweater was due to the design being a reference to Coldplay’s collaboration with BTS for “My Universe,” as there are stars, the Earth, and the moon on it. The moon is also a symbol in the BTS fandom as the eldest member Jin, who Chris has become close with, even collaborating on “The Astronaut,” is referred to as.
This year, BTS were nominated in two categories: music video for “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” and pop duo/group performance for “My Universe” with Coldplay. Knowing BTS would not be there this year, Chris Martin likely wanted to give a subtle nod to them since they were nominated for an award together.
Previously, ARMYs praised Martin for wearing Jin’s character Wootteo and performing his song “The Astronaut” on Saturday Night Live. Read more below.
