A recent TikTok challenge featuring BTS’s J-Hope and ATEEZ’s San has sparked intense debate across both fandoms, with a simple dance ateturning into a full-blown fan war.
The video featured the two idols performing ATEEZ’s latest dance challenge to the group’s new track, “Lemon Drop.” While many fans initially praised the crossover between two powerhouse performers, things quickly took a turn when posts from ARMYs criticizing San’s performance went viral.
Several viral posts accused the ATEEZ member of being low energy and even suggested he was outshined in his own choreography. Comments pointed to J-Hope’s fluidity, precision, and excitement, with some fans implying that San couldn’t keep up — despite it being his group’s original song and choreography.

ATEEZ fans, however, pushed back strongly. They defended San’s choice of performing, explaining that he often tones down his energy in similar TikTok challenges to allow the guest — in this case, J-Hope — to shine. They also pointed out San’s consistent reputation as one of K-Pop’s top performers.
