Big Hit Entertainment Appoints Third CEO, Announces Restructuring

The company has announced internal changes.

Big Hit Entertainment has added a new co-CEO and announced the restructuring of its executive management.

Bang Si Hyuk, who established this billion-dollar company back in 2005, was its sole CEO for 14 years.

In March 2019,  Lenzo Yoon (Yoon Seok Jun), the company’s chief business officer, was selected for the role of co-CEO.

As of May 2020, a third CEO has been added: the former CEO of NEXON Korea and Global COO of NEXON JapanJiwon Park. According to Forbes, his focus will be Big Hit Entertainment’s growth and internal organization.

In an official statement, Big Hit Entertainment stated that Jiwon Park is the new “HQ CEO” in charge of managing the company’s headquarters. In addition to this, Lenzo Yoon now holds the title “Global CEO”, while Bang Si Hyuk has added “Chairman” to his title.

Bang Si Hyuk’s role includes the following:

Bang Si Hyuk will oversee the company’s core business and important issues through preemptive response and timely decision making, while continuing to oversee music production and overall creative of Big Hit Entertainment’s multi-labels.

Meanwhile, Global CEO Lenzo Yoon is responsible for “developing and implementing strategies  targeting and expanding the global market.” Big Hit America, a company recently founded under Big Hit Entertainment, will be based in the US and overseen by Lenzo Yoon.
