After putting in many years of hard work, BTS has managed to break worldwide records left and right, deserving all of the recognition and awards they receive. Courtesy of Esquire‘s latest list, the group has earned yet another worldwide title.
Esquire released a list of the world’s best ten pop bands of all time, including legendary artists such as The Beatles, Destiny’s Child, The Temptations, and Queen. Joining the list of powerhouse hit-makers was BTS.
The boy group’s spreading of Korean culture to a broader audience caught Esquire’s attention. Writer Emma Carey said, “BTS is arguably one of the vanguard acts to pioneer K-Pop’s immeasurable worldwide success.”
She also noted how much BTS and their fans come together to change to make groundbreaking changes in various areas. Emma Carey said, “With a fanbase that is aptly described as ‘ARMY,’ BTS’s beloved septet has rapidly redefined boy bands, fandoms, and pop music itself.”
On top of sparking change, BTS adapts that same energy to their music, combining sounds from all genres that can speak to everyone worldwide.
Emma Carey said, “Their hits ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Life Goes On’ offer a blend of pop, hip-hop, disco, and R&B, with catchy melodies that are often laced with social commentary-based lyrics.”
Between topping the charts with their music releases and touching fans worldwide with their lyrics, no one can deny that BTS is a group that’s making history as one of the best.
