BTS Becomes The First K-Pop Act With Two RIAA Gold Certified Songs With “DNA”

BTS just became the first and only K-Pop act to achieve two gold-certified singles!

Big Hit Entertainment released a statement that BTS’s “DNA” was also gold certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

“RIAA certified BTS’ ‘DNA’ as a gold digital single last Friday.” β€” Big Hit Entertainment

This marks their 2nd gold-certified single. BTS achieved their first gold-certified single with “Mic DROP Remix” just earlier this month.

To be certified gold by the RIAA, a song must be sold/downloaded more than 500,000 equivalent units.

To celebrate breaking another record in history, A.R.M.Ys began trending the hashtag, “#DNAwentGOLD”.
