BTS Jin's Handsome Face Lands A Flustered Soldier In Trouble

A recent post on the Korean blogging forum THEQOO describing a soldier’s apparent encounter with BTS member Jin has gone viral in South Korea.

Jin officially enlisted for his mandatory military service in December last year and joined the Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County for his training. After completing his training, Jin reportedly got assigned the role of a teaching assistant at the same base, a position held in high esteem. And according to his own updates a few days ago, he is now up to be promoted to Private First Class.

So far, Jin’s progress in the military has been a great reassurance to fans who were justifiably anxious about this whole ordeal. At the same time, many of them couldn’t help but wonder how the others in the unit would react to being in such close proximity to the BTS member.

A netizen’s post made on March 6 offered a little peep into how that might go down. The OP (original poster) shared a picture of what looked like a soldier’s letter to his family, where he briefly mentioned meeting Jin while training in the military. He wrote that he saw Jin up close and blurted out, “Wow, it’s Jin,” which got him into trouble.

I got scolded by the instructors here on February 19. I made a mistake, and all my other mates were also scolded because of me. I did get in trouble, but it was exciting. I saw BTS’s Jin less than a meter from me and said, ‘Wow! It’s Jin!’ and got in trouble.

Though the OP didn’t mention the source of this letter, netizens found the account pretty believable and relatable.
