BTS’s Jin Has The Most Wholesome Reaction To Getting First Place On “M Countdown” With His Solo Track “The Astronaut”
When it comes to being a K-Pop artist, the definition of “success” can come in different ways. In particular, in Korea, one of the ways to measure success is music show wins. By collecting data from streaming, sales, and voting, music shows crown winners every week, whether it’s M Countdown, Music Bank, or Inkigayo.
BTS‘s Jin recently felt that level of success after achieving his first solo music show win.
Recently, Jin wowed fans worldwide when he released his music video for his solo song “The Astronaut.” As expected, it made its mark worldwide, ranking on charts globally and gaining praise.
On November 10, Jin’s song “The Astronaut” was against (G)I-DLE‘s track “Nxde.” ARMYs worldwide couldn’t contain their excitement when it was announced that Jin had won that week’s show.
When the announcement was made, ARMYs flooded social media with tweets congratulating the idol for his huge accomplishment. Jin has also become the first BTS member to get a music show win with a solo song.

Yet, despite his busy schedule, Jin took time out to acknowledge the huge achievement in a post on Weverse.
I was working until now and just got off work so I heard about the news late. I didnt even imagine it [would happen]. To say that [I won] 1st place on M Countdown, I’m so happyㅠㅠ.

Jin then went on to thank ARMYs and shared that, considering a teaser for new content had been released, he hoped they could enjoy it even more.

Jin was talking about the recent teaser on the group’s channel, where it seems like Jin is collaborating with his bestie, Chef Baek Jong Won, and it comes after the two were spotted filming last month.
As always, despite his busy schedule, Jin always makes sure to take time to thank ARMYs for all their hard work. Since releasing his single, Jin has been extremely busy with content. It shows how much he loves fans that he wants to do as much as he can before enlisting.
