This month has been a whirlwind for ARMYs.

At the start of the month, Jungkook became a hot topic after he accidentally revealed his private TikTok account, under the name Ian, when sharing ENHYPEN’s “Seven” challenge.

After the account was hilariously revealed, Jungkook wanted to make it easier for ARMYs to find him and once again used his creativity to create the name @letjungkook7.

Since then, he’s been looking at TikTok videos, liking them, and basically finding another way to communicate with ARMYs.

On August 16 (KST), netizens couldn’t hide their shock when they went on TikTok and realized that Jungkook had changed his username, and it was now @jungkook.

Yet, why are ARMYs “worried?” Well, it seems like many are using the classic Taylor Swift lyric,I think I’ve seen this film before…” and it’s all because of Instagram.

Like his TikTok account, when Jungkook first revealed his Instagram account to the world, he gained a lot of attention with his unique username. While all the members had straightforward names, Jungkook was very different with @abcdefghi_lmnopqrstuvwxyz where he omitted the letters JK.

It wasn’t long until Jungkook changed the username to @Jungkook.97, which was more straightforward and easier to search for fans.

And earlier in the year, Jungkook surprised fans after deleting his account completely.

Of course, ARMYs quickly noticed the similarity in what happened with Jungkook’s Instagram to his TikTok…

Which had them worried that he might follow the same pattern…

Meaning that the next step is deleting his account.

Considering Jungkook’s history with usernames and social media, it’s not surprising that ARMYs are worried, but hopefully, this was just another way for the idol to make himself easier to find on TikTok and avoid any chance of people imitating him.
