BTS’s Jungkook Advises A Troubled Fan To Follow Their Heart

His advice is both wise and realistic.

In a world full of uncertainty, it isn’t easy to follow your dreams. The road ahead is riddled with potholes and speedbumps, but in the end, paving your own path can lead to true happiness. Just ask BTS.

Jungkook

It wasn’t easy for BTS to achieve success. As ARMYs know, it took years of hard work, perseverance, and overcoming the odds. This was especially difficult for the members who did not have their family’s support. So, when asked for career advice, BTS does their best to support ARMY the same way ARMY supported them.

My family was completely against it. They thought I was a mutant. I never heard music in my house growing up. My relatives said that I would most certainly fail.

— Suga, 2018 Billboard interview

During his latest live broadcast, Jungkook chatted with fans about a variety of topics, including his piercings, trends, and future plans. Toward the end of his broadcast, a fan asked for Jungkook’s advice.

I want to become a flight attendant, but my parents want me to become a doctor.

— Fan

Parents often encourage their children to pursue well-paying, traditional careers for the sake of financial stability, but those careers aren’t for everyone. For someone who dreams of traveling the world and meeting new people, a flight attendant might be the ideal choice.

— Jungkook

Jungkook gave heartfelt and realistic words of wisdom to help the fan come to their own decision. It involves following their heart but also compromise.

It’s your life and you only live once. I think you should live for yourself. Of course, you need some compromise and understanding to do that. But you should do what you want to do.
