BTS Opening For The Jingle Ball Is Good News For Fans, Bad News For Organizers

The Jingle Ball isn’t saving the best for last.

Superstars BTS will be opening for 102.7 KIIS FM‘s Jingle Ball, but fans aren’t sure if this was a good idea — for the organizers, that is!

On November 21, 102.7 KIIS FM announced BTS as the Jingle Ball‘s opening act and tweeted out this greeting message from the group.

Normally, when BTS guests at televised US events, they perform near the end. The reason? To keep their legions of loyal fans watching the entire show. When ARMY tunes out, traffic drops big time!

BTS has never performed as an opener on US TV, and most fans are thrilled that it’s finally happening. If BTS is the first performer, that means ARMY won’t have to stay up late, skip bathroom breaks, or madly search for new livestream links every time theirs crashes. Some fans, however, are wondering what will happen once BTS’s performance is over.

When this fan predicted an empty stadium, post-BTS, 102.7 KIIS FM playfully encouraged ARMY to stay for the whole show. “it’s gonna be a great show” they said. “promise!”
