Just An Excuse is a light-hearted variety show where audiences get to see a candid version of their favorite stars as the host engages with them in friendly chatter. When Suga and Jimin arrived at the location, Yoo Jae Suk had other guests over. Among them, comedian Hong Jin Kyung had to leave for her schedule, but Jee Seok Jin and Jo Se Ho stuck around.

The conversation started with the MC asking Jimin how he spends time these days. He replied that he mostly spends his days on the sofa, watching YouTube and eating ramen. While Suga was already comfortable cracking jokes with the guests, Jimin admitted that it might take him a little time to get over his nervousness.

The MC immediately sprung into action and offered Jimin to lie down on his lap to help him process just how casual the show’s atmosphere is. Suga also played along, leaning against Jee Seok Jin’s shoulder.

After confirming that Jimin had loosened up, Yoo Jae Suk asked the two an interesting question about their home life. The question was about whether their families behaved differently with them after they became successful. Jimin answered that his father seems to be more careful with him now. He said, “In the past, he would nag me about things…now he just goes ‘hm’ and goes into his room.” Yoo Jae Suk then joked that he understands Jimin’s father completely.

When Jee Seok Jin asked Jimin about his mother, Jimin shared that she rarely gets upset with him about anything because they have very similar personalities.

Suga, on the other hand, said that his family has not changed at all. In fact, he said, he fights with his father at least once every month. When the MC asked what they usually fight about, Suga responded that since both of them have a sharp tone while speaking, they end up arguing but always make up afterward.

Both the BTS members, however, had one similar experience with their families. Suga shared that his father always tells him not to skip his meals, but he naturally tends to get hungry only for dinner and late-night snacks. Jimin also said that his family gets worried whenever he is dieting and asks him not to exert himself too much.
